Weltraumalltag Bought the CD because of "Ghost" only but I love "Last Grains" too...reminds me of a modern version of 60s sunshine pop with jazzy arrangements and scat vocals. Cool stuff! Favorite track: Ghost.

Sven B. Schreiber So Richard Wileman goes solo now... but "Karda Estra" fans, don't you worry: You can rely on Richard Wileman, as usual. It's essentially the same kind of stunning music you would have expected from a new "Karda Estra" album, some of it again with wonderful woodwind and brass arrangements. If you bought the "Ghost" EP and "Mephisto Portrait" single last year, you already know five of the 14 tracks - the remaining ones are approximately in the same vein, i.e. fantastic. Favorite track: Unmarked On Any Map.

about

New songs and instrumentals written by Richard Wileman plus some rearrangements of Karda Estra pieces that can fit into a live setting. Also includes a cover of 'The Tinker Of Rye' (written by Paul Giovanni) from the film 'The Wicker Man.'

PLEASE NOTE. If you buy the digital download version if this album, it does not include 'The Tinker Of Rye' track as Bandcamp do not allow download cover versions. The track is however available on other digital download platforms like itunes, Amazon etc. 'The Tinker Of Rye' is included on the CD edition.

'Loving the new solo album from Karda Estra's Richard Wileman. Thoughtful, atmospheric music with an agreeably skewed view of the world around us. Oh, & clarinets!' Sid Smith

'What is great is that you get the best of both worlds, new, stripped back sonic journeys but ones which are built on the same creative pulse, musical references and progressive world view as Karda Estra...wonderfully mercurial and beguiling.' Dave Franklin, Dancing About Architecture
